How hard are they to keep?: Glass catfish can be slightly more challenging to keep compared to other species due to their sensitive nature. They require stable water conditions and a well-established tank.

What is its maximum size?: The maximum size of glass catfish is around 4 inches (10 cm).

Where are they from?: They are native to Southeast Asia, specifically Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

How many can I keep?: They are social fish and should be kept in groups of at least 6 individuals. Larger groups are recommended to prevent stress.

How compatible are they with other fish?: Glass catfish are peaceful and compatible with a variety of peaceful community fish. However, they can be easily intimidated by more aggressive or larger tankmates, so careful consideration should be given to tankmate selection.

What are the ideal water conditions?: They prefer soft to slightly acidic water conditions with a pH ranging from 6.0 to 7.5. All the Glass Catfish that are for sale have been climatized to our local water conditions. The temperature should be maintained between 72-80?F (22-27?C). Adequate filtration and regular water changes are essential for their well-being.

How do you tell the difference between Male and female?: It can be difficult to differentiate between male and female glass catfish visually. Males may be slightly larger and more slender, while females can have a rounder belly when carrying eggs.
