What is its maximum size? The maximum size of a honey Gourami is around 2-3 inches (5-8 cm).

Where are they from? Honey Gourami’s are native to India, Bangladesh, and Myanmar, where they inhabit slow-moving waters, ponds, and marshes.

How many can I keep? You can keep a small group of honey Gourami’s in the same tank, preferably one male with multiple females. Keeping multiple males together may cause territorial conflicts.

How compatible are they with other fish? Honey Gourami’s are generally peaceful and can coexist with other peaceful community fish. They are known for their calm and gentle nature, making them compatible with a wide range of tank mates.

What are the ideal water conditions? They prefer slightly acidic to neutral water conditions, with a pH ranging from 6.0 to 7.5. The water temperature should be maintained between 77-82°F (25-28°C). How do you tell the difference between male and female? Males typically have more vibrant coloration, especially on their ventral fins, as well as longer dorsal fins and more pointed anal fins. Females may have a rounder abdomen and less intense coloration.
