What are the ideal water conditions? Brown apple snails prefer warm water between 20-28 degrees Celsius (68-82 degrees Fahrenheit). The water should be slightly acidic to neutral with a pH level around 6.5-7.5. They thrive in freshwater with moderate hardness.
