How hard are they to keep? Spice Rasboras are generally considered easy to keep. They are small, peaceful, and can adapt well to a variety of water conditions, making them suitable for beginners.

What is its maximum size? Spice Rasboras typically reach a maximum size of around 0.8 inches (2 centimetres).

Where are they from? Spice Rasboras are native to the peat swamps and blackwater streams of Borneo, an island in Southeast Asia.

How many can I keep? Due to their small size, Spice Rasboras are best kept in groups of at least 6 individuals. They are schooling fish that feel more secure and display their natural behaviours when kept with their own kind.

How compatible are they with other fish? Spice Rasboras are peaceful and can coexist with other small, non-aggressive fish. They are suitable tankmates for other small Rasboras, microrasboras, small tetras, and peaceful dwarf shrimp.

What are the ideal water conditions? Spice Rasboras prefer soft, slightly acidic water conditions. The ideal temperature range is around 73-82°F (23-28°C) with a pH level of 6.0-7.0. Providing them with a well-planted aquarium and dim lighting will mimic their natural habitat. The Spice Rasboras that are for sale have been climatized to our local water conditions.

How do you tell the difference between Male and female? It can be difficult to differentiate between male and female Dwarf Rasboras. However, during breeding, females may appear rounder and larger than males. Males might exhibit more vibrant colours, especially on their fins.
