What is its maximum size? They typically reach a maximum size of around 1.5 to 2 inches (4-5 cm).

Where are they from? Gold Cloud Minnows are native to the White Cloud Mountain area in Guangdong Province, China.

How many can I keep? They are schooling fish and thrive when kept in groups of at least 6 individuals. The more individuals, the better.

How compatible are they with other fish? Gold Cloud Minnows are peaceful and compatible with other small, peaceful fish. They coexist well with species like tetras, rasboras, and other similar-sized community fish.

What are the ideal water conditions? They prefer slightly acidic to slightly alkaline water with a pH between 6.0 and 8.0. The temperature should be kept between 65-75°F (18-24°C). They are adaptable and can tolerate a range of water conditions. The Gold Cloud Minnows that are for sale have been climatized to our local water conditions.

How do you tell the difference between male and female? Males are usually slimmer and more colourful, displaying brighter colours on their fins and bodies during breeding. Females are plumper, especially when carrying eggs, and may have a more subdued coloration.
