Where are they from? Black Neon Tetras originate from the upper Orinoco and Negro river basins in South America, specifically from Venezuela and Brazil.

How many can I keep? They are schooling fish and should be kept in groups of at least 6 individuals to ensure their well-being. Larger groups will create a more impressive and natural display of their schooling behaviour.

How compatible are they with other fish? Black Neon Tetras are generally peaceful and can coexist with a wide range of community fish. They are compatible with other small, peaceful species such as tetras, rasboras, and peaceful dwarf shrimp.

What are the ideal water conditions? Black Neon Tetras thrive in slightly acidic to neutral water conditions. The ideal water temperature for them is between 72°F and 78°F (22°C-25°C), with a pH level around 6.0-7.0. Provide plenty of plants and hiding spots in the aquarium for their comfort.
