What is its maximum size? Red-eyed Tetras typically grow to a maximum size of around 2.5 inches (6.5 centimetres) in length.

Where are they from? Red-eyed Tetras are native to South America and can be found in various regions, including the Paraná, Paraguay, and Alto Paraná river basins.

How many can I keep? They are shoaling fish and should be kept in groups of at least 6 individuals to ensure their well-being. Larger groups will exhibit more natural behavior and schooling dynamics.

How compatible are they with other fish? Red-eyed Tetras are generally peaceful and compatible with a wide range of community fish. They can coexist with other small, peaceful species such as tetras, rasboras, and livebearers.

What are the ideal water conditions? Red-eyed Tetras thrive in slightly acidic to neutral water conditions. The ideal water temperature for them is between 74°F and 80°F (23°C-27°C), while the pH level should be around 6.0-7.5. Provide a well-vegetated aquarium with open swimming spaces.
