How hard are they to keep? Koi Angelfish are considered to be moderately difficult to keep, requiring specific care and attention to water parameters.

What is its maximum size? Koi Angelfish can grow up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall, including their long and flowing fins.

Where are they from? Koi Angelfish are derived from the original Angelfish that are native to the Amazon River basin in South America.

How many can I keep? It is recommended to keep Koi Angelfish in pairs or small groups of at least 4 individuals. They are social fish and prefer the company of their own kind.

How compatible are they with other fish? Koi Angelfish can be kept with other peaceful community fish. However, they may become territorial during breeding and may nip at the fins of other fish. It is best to avoid keeping them with very small or delicate fish.

What are the ideal water conditions? Koi Angelfish thrive in slightly acidic to neutral water with a pH range between 6.5 and 7.5. The water temperature should be maintained between 75°F and 82°F (24°C to 28°C). Provide a well-planted aquarium with plenty of open swimming space and hiding places. How do you tell the difference between Male and female? Male Koi Angelfish typically have a more pointed dorsal fin compared to females, as well as a broader head. During breeding, males may also develop small breeding tubercles on their heads and pectoral fins.
