Hello and welcome to Aquatics by Nature as many of you probably know by now I do love my very low Tech natural style aquariums so whenever I get the opportunity to try a new Critter or cleanup crew for my tank I always jump at the opportunity well yesterday I came across this most amazing Nerite snail in my local shop it goes by the name of king cooper Nerite snail ntina jiting apparently sure I butchered the name but there you go but it’s one of the most bizarre creatures I think I’ve ever seen with these kind of horn likee structures over at Shell very very strange and also the whirlze of actually the shell itself a fascinating sort of spiral on them Al they’re dark and not that easyto see it’s quite an amazing looking creature and apparently they come from Indonesia which is quite common for most nites but uh certainly an interesting looking creature I’d love to hear from anybody else if they’ve ever had these have experiences with them did they prove to be Hardy were they good Alga eaters.
like most nerites are certainly something I’d love to be able to keep long term if that’s possible anyway thanks to Barry at friendly fish Harlow brilliant creature
loving it.
